Drum Corpse is an all percussion project conceived by David Silver (Season To Risk, AFUMA) and designed to energize and unify the defense of democracy. "Resistance Drums" is a collection of drum/percussion duets set to the pulsing back drop of protest chants, featuring drummers Matt Chamberlain (David Bowie, SNL, Pearl Jam), Erik Eldenius (Billy Idol, Dave Navarro), Kellii Scott (Failure, Veruca Salt), Jason Gerken (Shiner, Molly McGuire), Chris Enriquez (Spotlights, Julie Christmas), Greg Saunier (Deerhoof, Big Walnuts Yonder), Blake Fleming (The Mars Volta, Dazzling Killmen), Kliph Scurlock (Flaming Lips, Gruff Rhys), Noah Leger (FACS, Electric Hawk), Ian Prince (BirdHands, Houston), Matthias Bossi (Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Skeleton Key) and David Silver, with album artwork by Abe Brennan (Dead Pioneers, RKL). Described as a protest magnifier, Drum Corpse is much more than that. "Resistance Drums" is a beautifully crafted collection of drum compositions that deliver a punch with purpose. All efforts are volunteer and proceeds are donated to the ACLU who have over 100 lawsuits against Trump and ICE. Extended tracks are provided for live event backing drums to raise the volume and impact of civil disobedience.
Silver explains “I started Drum Corpse in January 2025, realizing there would be a need for elevated noise demonstrations to beat fascism down and give them zero peace and quiet. I’m aware of the post-democracy plans of Peter Theil and Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 and think we have one chance right now to defend the Constitution and the rule of law.
This music is cathartic and a document of this terrible era in history. Hopefully, soon these songs will be a historical artifact of a brief, crazy, failed coup that we the people crushed.
ICE has become unlawful as expected, murdering, torturing, and disappearing people off the streets. We cannot have masked agents, recruited from the January 6 insurrection and Proud Boys, with no accountability posing as officers of the law, guided by the high tech of Palantir, protected by corrupt judges and compromised media. ICE needs to be abolished. It cannot be reformed at this point “with more training”, after nearly 200 have been killed, that we know of, based on their race (or gender or ideology). Its all so un-American.
We cannot let this cabal of the dumbest, most racist, and unethical creeps take America. MAGA is an illusion, mostly bots and propaganda. Most normal citizens do not want this version of our country. This dystopian tech-bro surveillance nightmare, along with the Russian collusion and pedophilia rampant in the GOP, shows it is time to reboot this system.
